Ottoman man's jacket in very thin and early kashmir kani weave.Circa 1800/1850 Made in India for the Turkish market. Long sleeves fall back on the shoulders or back. This coat is fully trimmed with black silk, scalloped with silver embroidery and lined purple silk quilted diagonally.Beautiful collector's item!. Average condition. Positive comment : The extremely thin kani weave from the early nineteenth century (very rare from this period), the quality of silver embroidery and the elegance of the piece.
