This stunning late 19thC. Karabagh features a most desireable Lenkoran design and a main border not usually seen in such fine quality weave and careful drawing on a large rug. The colors are all good and clear with no running or faded examples. The pile is very good throughout most of the rug with a small section being lower as shown in the images. There are a couple small moth bites and other small areas of wear or creases which are mostly shown in the pictures. The black background is lower but not worn to the foundation though there is so little background showing as to be nearly meaningless. The edges and ends are mostly complete. This big mans' rug is 51" x 110". As always the dirt is free...
