An outstanding Kurdish Sauj Bulagh rug, 19c, with superb dyes, inclding emerald green and pale aubergine, glistening wool and a wide range of design elements. The bottom narrow guard stripe has since been expertly restored. Otherwise all original and intact. The nut brown ground has oxidized to leave the motifs in high relief with satisfying scuptural effect.
