a beautiful and extremely rare, Peruvian Pre Columbian, knitted technique textile of camelid wool from the Sihuas culture circa 200 b.c. - 200 a.d. with highly abstracted forms. This is World Class, Museum Quality artifact. No complete example is known and only three published examples are known. Many pieces previously designated as Proto Nazca, seem now to be from the Sihuas Valley. The Sihuas culture existed about 200 miles south of the Nazca River Valley and was discovered in that area in the late 1980s. Prior to that, they were unknown.
