18c embossed zeebag chest, with a central medallion of the mythical zeebag beast and a reddish-orange background with swirls of light yellowish-brown. The painted surface on leather binding is raised lacquer gesso on three sides. Original iron hinges and braces with a workable latch on the front of the chest. The interior is unfinished.
