Here is a beautifull old Chodor Turkoman embroidered Talisman/Amulet which would have been worn to ward off evil/bring good luck. The talisman which apears to create one eyed burgandy spacemen in the negative space of the green Rams Horns is quite a piece of tribal art. The amulet measures 4 1/2" wide and 7" tall. These are made of silk thread embroidered over a stiff fabric or felt base. Attached to the bottom of the talisman are silk braided tassels with beads. The colors are all natural dyed silk. The colors used date this talisman to the late 19th. century and suggest a Chodor Turkoman woman as the maker
