This graphic hand knotted Berber carpet comes from the 'Azilal' province in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco. This rug features a richly colored palette, predominantly red, with lyrical patterns reminiscent of a modern day abstract painting. Supple wool pile with sturdy foundation and glossy patina. Braided kilim end with tassels. Azilal. Circa 1980's.
