Kurdish with Bidjar elements. i have seen this particular design with the same large, open, asymmetrical palmettes; they always have incredibly beautiful natural colors and abundant abrashes. i surmise there is (or was) some little village somewhere in West Persia (possibly near Bidjar) that was making these circa 80-125 years ago. Original sides and ends intact. Slightly lower pile toward the center. No exposed foundation anywhere. Overall pretty nice for its age. Whatever. This rug is a decorative knockout.
