Mythology and pattern research suggests;..the ability of the soul (Boat) to sail and to anchor (hooks) on the waters of heaven and earth. We can find this boat mythology in many artifacts, paintings and drawings at the ancient Egyptian culture. In the 20th century Max Ernst (surrealist group) made a painting with the name: "Wo Oben und Unten aufhören in ihrer Verschiedenheit wahrgenommen zu werden" ..where you see two surf boards (one in upside down position). Unfortunately i could not find any image of this painting in the net.
