Tibet: Warp-faced Back Carpet (tc21) 80” x 39” 19th c. Wool pile warp-faced back ‘Wangden’ - Yellow ground with Red key design. The ’fringe' is a faded blue but otherwise in solid condition. It is loosely woven and one end is bound where as is often the case it is somewhat loose as illustrated in the photos. i lugged this out of Tibet myself and it is bulky and heavy like these typically are.
