#7659 Laver Kerman This circa 1910 Laver Kerman measures 11’6” x 13’5” (356 x 411 cm). It is what used to be called a ‘crowded Kerman’ for obvious reasons. It has a huge center medallion composed of a wreath of peonies which going inward becomes flowers upon flowers ending in a hand sized chrysanthemum dead center of the rug. The corner design resembles ferns and other well drawn flowers. The entire rug is so overwhelming with floral motif that it is essentially impossible to put your finger down on any part of the rug and touch the ivory background without touching some part of the design. It has a beautiful swirling design that seems to be in constant motion. The rug has three borders. The two minor reciprocals are on a light blue ground containing flowers in the shape of clamshells and the main border between the two is on a very light peach ground consisting of a very complicated floral design. The rug is full pile. The ends and sides are complete. It is clean and ready to go. This would make any décor in any house!
