Unusual Turkish embroidered hood-like textile with Ottoman firman calligrahic signature inscriptions on fine wool ground with partial silk lining and dating to the 19c. The shape indicates a possible ritual function. Excellent condition with a few very tiny holes from insect nibbles. The size is approximately 40 inches (100 cm) from top to bottom.
