Chin Woman’s Cloth: Exceptionally rare woman’s shoulder cloth from from the Khami, Khuni or Mro, Chin subgroups living in the Rakhine and Chin states, west Myanmar. Woven from two ply warp handspun cotton there is minor bleeding of green dye (see last enlargement). Please note that the pattern is hand embroidered on one side only and not woven in. The dimensions are 1.5m/5.1ft x 38cm/1.3ft. i have three books on Burmese textiles and there are no depicted examples of pictorial weaves.
