Antique Persian Bijar rug, ( Bidjar ), hand knotted wool on a wool foundation, Iran, ca. 1880, a hard to find gallery rug size approximately 5ft 7in x 13ft 4in, an all over stylized floral design without a medallion on a coral red field, the design is called Mina Khani, worn with low even pile, down to the collar of the knots, no paint, some professional rewoven areas that i can feel more than see, i have close up phots, but it is hard to see in a photo, the corners are rewoven, and about 2 inches x 2 feet on one end appears to be rewoven, the sides are more recently secured by hand sewing, the rug is still very heavy, and effects the shipping cost, it is a strong rug that can be used without worry, i have cleaned the rug with a wet wash, the last photo is of the back, #3728, paypal is accepted, shipping is extra
