Mahal Carpet 10.4 x 14.2 3.16 x 4.32 a fairly l.arge scale allover Herati 'fish' leaf, open diamond, rosette and palmette pattern in light straw ans ivory decorates the warm madder red field of this west Persian rustic carpet. Tawny gold fan palmette minors flank the angular turtle pattern main stripe. The carpet is worn overall, with surface ribbing and some lower areas. Circa:1910 (c8214)
