Mahal Carpet 9.0 x 12.3 2.74 x 3.74 The yellowish ivory central lozenge medallion is filled with a scatter of disjoint floral devices and is set on an abrashed slate field decorated with oval rosettes and wide acanthus pairs. The rust border features ivory rosettes, double stiff vine segments and reversing palmettes. This western Persian village carpet shows some overall wear.
