Indo-Kerman Carpet 14.6 by 16.2 4.45 x 4.93 The red field of this Indian adaptation of Kerman Persian sources displays cypress trees, prunus shrubs, various other flowing bushes and a number of jungle animals. The dark blue border displays cypresses, palms, prunus and other complete flowering plants. Flying cranes and other birds inhabit the light blue corners with cloudbands.The weave is quite fine and the condition is quite good with both pile and colours well preserved. Circa: 1910 (32650)
