Tekke ensi, early 19th Century, This ensi belongs to a distinct subset of Tekke Turkmen examples to use open-spaced side panels with abstract tress composed of pairs of linked ram heads. Two horizontal panels are drawn at the bottom, a classic brown 'elem' drawn with rows of eight-pointed stars and a portion just above which draws diagonal rows of stylized trees of the type often seen in Tekke embroidery. Spacing is open and elegant. Patch in one corner, losses to corners and sides. size is 3'10"x4'7"
