Rug? Kilim? Painting? Gabbeh? In any case beautiful and unusual. On the wall or on the floor? Both ideas are good. This flat weave comes from the Fars region in Southern Iran and was woven by the Qashqai tribes somewhere up in the Summer pastures of the Zagros mountains mid last century. They loved represent animals, especially lions, but also tigers, peacocks, etc. that were in their mythological tales. Never been fond of such artifacts, but this one caught my interest. It's kind of zoomorphic modern abstract painting. Size is cm 166x255 or 5.5x8.4. In very good conditiion. Forgot to give you the second important info: all dyes are natural!
price:  much less than a modern abstract painting....
