Shahsavan bag face, 23" x 22", circa 1850, this well-preserved bag face was likely woven in the region between Mianeh and Bijar, they are frequently called Khamseh Shahsavan but more accurately are Bijar Shahsavan, subtle imaginative variations on classic motifs give this piece an aesthetic significances, Tanavoli has written that, '---the emerald green used in these khorjins is completely different from all other preens'.
