a beautiful and rare pair of antique Ottoman military rank cuffs / sleeves dating to the 19th century. It is made with gilded metal embroidery on maroon silk velvet and would be looped around the edge of a coat and closed with the tiny hooks on the reverse side. Very likely these were rank cuffs for the military officials of the courts. Rare piece of Ottoman textile. In very good condition. 23cm x 23cm (9” x 9”).
