a beautiful antique Uzbek silk Iroqi stitched embroidered hat from Shahrisabz region. Dating to the late 19th century this rare hat is made of a form of cross stitched associated with the region and is fully embroidered. The design and colours are gorgeous. Some consider these Bukhara but they are in fact from Shahrisabz (as most such stitched embroideries were). It is a very good old example with classic floral design arranged in a quadrant form. It has natural patina. a good piece for hat collectors of Central Asia. size: 18cm (7” ) diameter and 10cm (4” ) height.
