South Caucasian Karabagh Rug. In the Red field, short stems arranged in parallel rows combine into a dense repeat in shades of green, red and pink. Each stem bears a large blossom. The designs stand out three-dimensionally due to the high degree of corrosion in the field. The blue-ground border contains a vine composed of small red motifs.
