Antique strange very wide trapping or bagface with an interesting design and an unusual color palette. My first thought was this is Kurdish as i have seen pieces with this field design attributed as that. However the coloring of this piece seems otherwise. My second thought was east Anatolian Kurd? Given the extensive use of cochineal and a border that looks Turkish, I’m sticking with that. Overall low pile with scattered wear. Numerous small old moth nibbles and fingernail size holes, some sewn up. Although unusual, i believe these are all natural colors. Could use a wash. 19th c. 17” x 49”
