Antique turkman prayer rug or ensi with an unusual design, good colors and overall very good condition. Very slight field wear. Unlike any turkman weaving i have encountered before. Found locally in New England. Came to me as yomud but with no reliable history. i found it very attractive and have kept it for some years now. Original selvages and some end finish. Good over all pile. Turkish knotted. Interesting all natural palette focused on earthy probably natural wool colors which of course do not oxidize. Nice light greens and blues. Reasonably clean with nice floppy handle. 19th c. 3’8 x 4’4”
