Veramin area Afshar kelim. Very old. This piece probably dates to the 1st half of the 19th century. It shows a timeless and graphic design of repeating stepped diamond forms woven with dovetailed joins rather than slit tapestry. Very few pieces of this type are as old as this one. The white ground indicates a possible dowry weaving. Purchased from a well regarded European collection many years ago. Information on request. Size; 75 x 55 inches.
