'Embroidered door hanging'
One of the best and rare example of Sodha Rajput embroidery. It has all the elements of Sodha Rajput embroidery technique which includes pakko, kharek, aabhla, bhavariyo, satin and machhi kandho stitches applique with extra embellishments like pompoms and real glass beads. We would say If not a museum quality piece, still one very fine piece of embroidery.
The region - Tharparkar, Sindh, Pakistan or Kutch, Gujarat. India as this particular community is living in both the countries.
Material - Floss silk and cotton threads on 2 layered cotton base fabric.
