a rare and exceptional fine antique Aleppo Zouk cover from Syria under the ottoman era. i assume it likely dates between late 19th century to early 1900’s but could be older. The weaving is exceptionally fine made up of silk and gold gilded threads boasting an elegant design made up of gorgeous blue/indigo borders with gold and white field made up of intricate design elements in red and green. The contrast between the gold and the blue is outstanding. It has the original tassels on all edges with one pom pom tassels in each corner (one missing). The condition is very good and fully intact. Offered at a very reasonable price. It is a rare textile art. 140cm x 130cm (55” x 51”).
