Navajo Child's Blanket (Serape), hand woven hand spun wool, sw United States, ca. 1900, this one has an hour glass constriction 13 inches from the top, i see it in some of these kinds of blankets, this one is created by using a limited amount of wedge weave, it folds over nicely at this juncture, and i wonder if this was done because the blanket was intended to be worn in cape fashion, there is a spirit line in one corner, near mint condition, size 27 1/2 in. x 56 1/2 in., #2292
