The earliest and most archaic Kepse Gül Chuval i have ever encountered. The piece is very finely woven with extraordinary colors including a clear corrosive green. Wefting is replete with cotton shoots eliciting a pepper and salt appearance of the back. Handle is cloth-like; the ends of the Güls terminate in obvious bird-heads in profile. 18th. century, 39'' x 27''(99 x 69cms)
