persian bachtiar tent bag / artifact. This very unusual bag is woven as a small embroidered kilim which has been doubled over and two sides overcast in goat hair to form a bag. Its narrow shape suggests it would have been used to store long items such as spoons and tools and it is complete with its original hand beaten brass ring for hanging. It is from the Bachtiars of south west Persia and is worthy of a place in any collection. Reference 2357. Size 50 x 14cms. 1ft.8in. x 6in. Euros 220. sold, usa.
