Nice old Laotian blanket from the Tai Dam ethnic group. The embroidered face and backing is made from all hand spun and hand woven thread. The border is frayed but the center is still quite attractive but with some broken warp threads (see enlargements). i picked this up in Luang Prabhang 20 years ago. Total l: 1.9m x 1.08m.
