Antique Caucasian ivory ground rug with an eye catch design of very colorful large boteh and a marasali type border with “chessmen” or bird motifs. Mostly decent low pile but scattered wear and crease damage. Very high quality wool and natural colors featuring a fine tomato red, rich greens, yellow/amber highlights. Reasonably clean. Good floppy handle. Restorable. Good age, 3rd qtr. 19th c. 3’4” x 5’5”
