Antique Chinese silk embroidery, sleeve bands from the late 19thC, the figures of ladies are woven in satin stitch, the rest of the sleeves are embroidered in Peking Knot, the so called forbidden stitch, and outlined by couching, the embroidery is on hand woven silk brocade that may look like an ivory color, but in most lighting the background color has a slight blue tint, the minor border is silk brocade, and the main border is a lovely yellow and very fine silk brocade, it is backed with an antique hand woven blue silk brocade gauze, there are condition issues including but not limited to: staining, fraying, missing and loose couching and embroidery, it is wrinkled from storage, the approximate size is 12 inches x 24 inches, #1204, shipping is extra
