Antique hand woven basket, Chippewa / Ojibwa people, Western Great Lakes, early 20thC, ash splints, lidded and footed, decorated with curlicue weave, some of the weavers were dyed with green but faded, broken and missing weavers, the rim finish is very unique and complicated, for a similar basket with the same rim finish in the Smithsonian, see catalog #11/4953, general strong condition, sans the broken weavers, the approximate size is 7 inches wide x 5 inches tall, #3250, shipping is extra
