these are very fine pieces from Punjab northern India.these are made to cover marriage carriage(the doli) and also worn by the bride.these are all hand embroider and the pattern of embroidery is Sufi work.the thread used in making them is patka silk which is hand made.the base cloth is cotton and there are 2 or 3 long panel joined together to make the base cotton cloth.these pieces are atleast 70 to 80 years old and are in very good condition.
