Sterling Silver 19th c. Persian Bowl Hand Engraved / circa 1870 - 1890 / ? Size; 5" x 2&1/8th" Very attractive, mint condition, 9 scenes in the style of Persian minatures, There is an elephant being ridden by a man with a cape and a falcon, a man riding a horse with a knife drawn and a long eared dog also a leopard being attacked by a giant serpent,many courtier scenes with men and women entertaining, eating and dancing, guess it was a Persia of a beautiful past? ;-)) seem to be musicians playing a stringed instrument in some of the scenes too.
