Pre-Columbian Bag. a.d. 400 - 800. This textile displays a highly unusual image that is reminiscent of fish bones. The indigo blue is beautiful and uncommon as a ground color. Size: 5.75 x 7 inches. The textile was re-purposed into a coca bag at some point in its life. It has been conserved to a lining and is ready for display or mounting. Framed it would be a precious little treasure to live with. i have not seen this very interesting image before in Andean textiles.
