 #7263 Antique Peking Chinese Rug 
This circa 1900 Peking Chinese Oriental carpet measures 7’2” x 12’1”. It has an ivory field containing various Buddhist iconographies including the beribboned umbrella, paint boxes, standing urns, and several floral forms some flowering and some not.  The central medallion consists of a phoenix bird standing on one leg in front of clouds and trees with a floral motif.  All is encompassed with four borders, beginning with a pearl border on indigo ground in ivory. , next is an ivory Greek key border on a blue ground, then comes a  meandering floral motif on an ivory border, and ending with the solid blue border.  This is a full pile rug.  It has soft silky to the touch wools.  It is clean and ready to go.  The buyer pays shipping with insurance of $125.
