Pair of Antique Tibetan Buddhist/Bon Phurba Thokcha Amulets. Passing through a village just north of Leh, in Ladakh, n India twenty years back, i was approached by a local who asked if i were interested in purchasing some old things. He was adding on a room to his home - his wife had just given birth - and he needed to raise some cash. He had a room in his house filled with Hindu and Tibetan artifacts collected by his grandfather over many years. As his grandfather had recently passed, he felt fine about selling off some of the collection in order to pay for construction. These two phurbas were part of my purchase. Aside from their beauty, they are soft on the skin having been worn by devotees for a couple of hundred years. sold
