Back
Large Antique Central Asian warp-faced woven strip rug or cover. Probably Uzbek. It was woven in one long strip 11 inches wide and nearly seventy feet long that was cut into lengths and sewn together to create a single piece that is currently 98 x 65 inches. This example is thicker and sturdier than most, not thin - so it works very well on the floor. The colors are natural with no fading or running. The whites are cotton. The design scale is large and bold. This would make a striking floor piece or hanging in the right setting. There are additional panels available that were detached from the larger rug. There are two of these - each made up of two loom widths sewn together. They measure 24 x 66 inches each and can be sold separately. They could be reattached to the full piece for a longer rug.
Or... They could be joined together to make a sweet smaller rug 48" x 66" . They could be used separately or joined length wise to make a runner 24 x 132 inches. They would provide beautiful material for making a number of pillows as well. This piece was recently cleaned and is vibrant. better than you think, reasonable and versatile,
