Antique Chinese embroidered roundel, fine couching of metal threads and peacock feathers on blue silk, originally the flying tiger emblem was used on military banners in the 17th and 18th centuries, this example was made in the early 20thC and most likely an item made for sale, and not for use by the current military, it is of very high quality using several colors of metal threads, and peacock feathers spun into filaments, the approximate size is 11 inches across, there are some loose threads, the the outer border is very worn, and proably recycled from a 19thC robe, it is backed with light blue silk that has water stains, also probably recycled from an older textile #jr-1, shipping is extra
