For a collection i think owning both would be of interest (that´s what i thought). No1 is ex Michael Phillips, it was exhibited at arts in 2012. He said pre 1850. The No2 is an enigma. For the connoisseur. Dating? Same as the above i should think. Notes made by collector friend reg No2: "Although the stars in its blue guls identify it as an example of Munkacsi's "Type ii" group, it is anomalous in at least two important respects: First, contrary to Munkacsi's Attribute 2 of this group, the blue guls are arranged as seen in his "Type i" group, and not in a row of three; and second, contrary to his Attribute 6, the "s" minor border is of the curvilinear rather than the squared type (Note: Munkacsi was working from a very limited data base of only five examples in this small group). The guls are Kushli type, the weave appears to be open left, and there is minimal warp depression." At any rate an excellent contribution to a turkmen collection of note. :) pm me if interested.
