a 19th century kalamkari block print. Measured approx. 2x4 meters. It's huge and magnificent as a feast of the eyes. It has a good patina with subdue color scheme. Motives constitute of two main cypresses in the niche framed by series of elaborate floral vines and smaller niches with cypress on both side. The bottom part has what looked like geometric motif arranged in pyramid shape flanked by tiger chasing deer scene. At the very bottom part lines a row of soldiers riding on the horseback. Suspected to come from the aristocrat household in India and must have been used for wall hanging decoration. Already mounted on the cotton backing, ready to be hung on display. Very well kept comdition considering it age and size, despite some minor holes and torns
