Antique Baluch Saddle with Birds. Not ancient but all natural colors including a deep plum ground with very soft and lush wool pile. Boucher ascribed this type of saddle to the Salar Khani. Most employ the Herati design in the field. This is the only piece i know of to use the Salor gul and birds. The condition is quite good but there is a slash of about five inches in the lower right hand side of the inner border which has been sewn. The piece is clean and it gleams.
