Antique Caucasian Rug-Runner -Shirvan 3.5 Ft. x 10 Ft. This antique all wool Caucasian runner is in very good to excellent condition. It has a nice even pile except the black wool in one of the borders is a bit lower (photos 2 and 4). It also has two tiny repairs (photos 6 and 7) and the selvage has been partly redone on both sides (photos 5 and 6). The rug has a silky, supple feel and is clean and has no weak spots. On the back side of the rug are two small stains of what looks like house paint (photo 11). These are in no way visible from the front. It measures 38" (97 cm) wide by 114" (290 cm) in length.
