antique caucasian TEXTILE This beautiful example of Shirvan weaving is 9ft. long and varies in width from 39 inches at one end to 41 inches at the opposite end. Our Transcaucasian (from the Caucasus Mountain region or Azerbaijan) textile was woven sometime in the last third of the 19th century. It's colors are all natural dyes and still quite bright. The most unusual feature of this textile is the repeating narrow band of extra-weft wrapping sumak
