Baluch long rug runner; 118 x 393 cm (3`11“ x 12`11“); after 1920 (?) earlier example from a rare size for Baluch rugs; Main field with a lattice which contains alternating diagonal rows “flower heads” or “ snowflakes”. In the centre of the rug the lattice will be interrupted from a nice drawn, Boucher would name it “Timuri major gül”. Rug has also colours one would find in Timuri rugs from Afghan region like different reds, kind of aubergine (?), salmon, blue, petrol, light blue, brown, white and some spots of saturated yellow. Kelim ends (top 15cm (6”), bottom 14cm (5”) with flat woven strips but also one stripe in “weft float technique”; rug with lower pile, original sides, black abrashed as one would expect for a Baluch in this age but in a over all really good condition.
