Baluch Main carpet; after 1900; 289 x 170 cm (9`9”x 5`7”) with 20cm (8“) flat woven Kelim on each end, original in top, 1cm (0.5”) reduced in bottom; 6 “tree of life” guls built the main field surrounded with 2 nice and precise drawn Tengetschik- and Soldat-minorborders; main border drawn with different coloured boxes, each including a well balanced Gotschak, and is flanked on both sides with an impressive Sarchaltka border; a small Guyjak border surround whole rug end ends in sides with original goat hair Shirasi in mostly good condition; typical Baluch colours with rare use of white, electric blue, red, aubergine, brown and terribly corroded black; rug is apart from black corrosion in good condition, there is one repair 3x5 cm (1.5”x 2”)
