Baluch Rug Late 19th c. 63 1/2 x 32 in. Inv# 1310 a very nicely drawn piece displaying wonderfully articulated ashik guls and an unusual subtle border. It is made from vegetable based dyes. It had some work done on it before i acquired it. The pictures below indicate the large area that was re-piled across the field (outlined in red). This may have been done using synthetic dyes, but was very well executed. Otherwise in uneven condition, with some areas in full silky pile and other areas worn down to the foundation in the corroded browns. It as a great floppy handle.
